XTO Family Picnic

Yesterday was XTO Energy's annual company picnic. It is always something to be anticipated and we usually have such a blast. Yesterday, however, was unique. First of all, it was raining on and off the entire time, but we eventually got used to being soggy. Then, as we were standing in line to ride the elephant, Thomas realized he lost our keys. We looked all over, retracing our steps. Then found them locked inside the van. We only have one car key, but thankfully when we sold the Kia, I added a couple of things to our insurance for the van, including roadside assistance. That was a huge blessing. All I had to do was call Geico and 20 minutes later we had our keys again. But all in all, we had a really fun time. Here are the girls in their party get-ups.

What would be the company picnic without face painting! I thought the girls looked so adorable!

Rachel wanted to be an elephant and after she was done I told the face painter I was wondering how she would do an elephant, she said she was wondering too. It turned out perfect!

This was the human cannonball. It was pretty cool and this woman is probably crazy!

And last but not least, the elephant ride. I, unfortunately, did not get to ride the elephant as I was out waiting for the locksmith. Oh well, maybe the opportunity will present itself at a later date in my life... Thomas got a really bad cramp in his "upper thigh" as soon as he got on the elephant. I thought it was hilarious that it was captured on picture to remember forever! This is a picture of a picture, so it isn't the best quality, but I think you can get the idea.
