Happy Birthday, Rachie Baby!

We celebrated Rachel's birthday on Sunday with a small little party with her cousins. Today we are going to take her to McDonald's (per her request) for Happy Meals and to play in the playground. I can't believe she is six already. She is such a fun girl and we feel so blessed that she is part of our family. She has such a generous, thoughtful heart. Katie gave her two really cute purses for her birthday. She was so in love with them, as was her little sister, Emma. Emma kept crying and wanting one. For about an hour Rachel kept both purses for herself, she had one purse on each arm. Then she decided it was time to share. She didn't just let Emma borrow one. She gave it to her filled with all Emma's favorite things. I was so touched at her thoughtfulness. And she loves to laugh. I love it so much when she gets excited about something because she just laughs the most adorable little giggle. For example, at the end of a movie when everything works out perfectly she will just starting giggling with glee and clapping. She does the same thing when she opens presents or gets to go swimming or any of a huge number of other happenings that really make her happy. I hope she doesn't grow out of showing her excitement at the fun things in life.

In the above picture, I could not get all three girls to look at the camera and smile. So, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. I told them all to make whatever silly face they wanted and the result is priceless!
