Update

Not too much has been going on, but we did get Rex's room all ready! I am very excited to have it done. Now I just need to make him a couple of quilts and baby blankets and I think we are set for him to hurry and get here! For family night we painted his bedroom a lovely green color. Then on Tuesday I set up Emma's bed and Rex's crib and set out all his little outfits and things that we have for him so far. And I have to send out a special thanks to Natalie. She is a SUPERSTAR on Craigslist and found us a dresser for $10!!!! And then to top it off, she passed along her son's twin bed because they got bunk beds for their kids. I can't express my gratitude for Natalie, that was such a big relief to have those two major pieces of furniture practically handed to us on a silver platter!

So, I think I am in full blown nesting mode trying to get the house all spic and span. My appointments are every two weeks now and time seems to be flying with the girls in school. Seven more weeks and COUNTING! My doctor has already started talking about inducing and I am all for it. If we could have it all scheduled so that the girls can be happily delivered to Granny's house and Thomas can schedule the time off work, that would make life so smooth. He induced Emma a week early so that she would be here before Christmas, so I am hoping that maybe we can induce a week early this time around.

This week has been full of doctor's check-ups for the girls. I wasn't paying attention and scheduled their doctor and dentist appointments all on the same day. What a horrible thing to do to myself and to my children. But we survived with no cavities, no shots and only perscriptions for seasonal allergies. The doctor also detected a heart murmur on Rachel, so yesterday I took her up to North Dallas to a pediatric cardiologist to check it out and rule out anything major--which is exactly what happened. After an EKG and a sonogram of her heart, it was diagnosed as an innocent heart murmur. It is worth all the trouble for the peace of mind though. Plus, Rachel now has a picture of her heart to put in her scrapbook! It was pretty cool to see her heart pumping and see the valves opening and closing. And mostly cool to see that her heart is perfectly healthy!

That's All Folks!

Okay, I love how you just throw out comments like "Now I just need to make him a couple of quilts and baby blankets." You are so talented! And the room looks great.

What a scare, and then a relief with Rachel. Sounds like you are ready for baby!

Hi, Kristy, I finally got a chance to check out your blog. I echo Jenny about the quilts and blankets. I wish I could make something personal and special for my boys. You do such a good job in Primary, and it's nice to have someone else in my shoes (although I know you are even more ready than I am to be done!)
